Find out how Frequency Telecom and Cel-Fi by Nextivity are joining forces to deliver seamless in-building/in-vehicle mobile signal coverage to utility companies in the UK at Utility Week Live from 21-22 May!
Frequency Telecom, a UK company with over 17 years’ experience in sourcing and delivering the latest smartphone accessories and mobile signal solutions to corporate companies, will be showcasing Cel-Fi by Nextivity mobile signal boosters, the UK’s only product range to meet Ofcom’s licence exemption specification and legal to use on all mobile networks, at Utility Week live for the first time. The event is taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from 21-22 May and Frequency Telecom can be found in Hall 3 on stand F74. Senior representatives from Nextivity will also be attending.
Until recently the use of repeater-style equipment to boost mobile signals inside buildings or vehicles was severely hampered by strict regulation governing its usage, resulting in many illegal deployments. Changes to the mobile repeater laws in the UK, however, means solutions that conform to Ofcom’s new licence-exemption specification can now be easily deployed by utility companies whose employees spend much of their time working in hazardous conditions, in remote locations or in buildings with no network coverage.
Not only does poor connectivity impact operational efficiency and logistics, it poses a serious health and safety concern. The range of Cel-Fi products being displayed include mobile signal boosters for large and small buildings and the Cel-Fi GO M, designed specifically for in-vehicle usage and featuring Intelliboost technology which dynamically adjusts according to fast-changing mobile signal conditions, making it ideal for boosting mobile coverage for a large fleet of vehicles.
Other product being presented include:
- Cel-Fi GO X– a multi-band signal enhancement solution ideal for use in remote and industrial properties
- Cel-Fi QUATRA– a professional scalable in-building cellular distribution solution
- Cel-Fi SOLO– for commercial properties, retail and consumer
“We have been working in the mobile space for over 17 years and are fully aligned with business needs across all verticals” comments Gareth Limpenny, CEO of Frequency Telecom. “Changes to the repeater laws means that water, gas and electricity companies are now able to optimise their mobile investments using our products and services.”
Cel-Fi boosters are fully compliant with Ofcom license exempt specifications across all 3G and 4G frequency bands and have intelligence built in. This means they self-configure according to network coverage conditions and automatically power down if there is a network conflict.
As well as supplying and installing smart signal booster solutions to channel partners and end customers, Frequency Telecom also sources and manages all their accessory requirements, from sourcing specific products to bespoke manufactured solutions whilst offering competitive pricing and fast service.
